In addition to hosting Awakened Life : Talk radio evolved, Adam Seward is a counselor, author, and spiritual teacher living in Bellevue Washington.
Some background on Adam:
Since the age of 8, when he was first inspired by his lifelong mentor and teacher, Adam knew he was destined to live a life of service to humanity. During his early years, a great deal of his attention went into athletics, through which he excelled. But in the year 2000, Adam had a sudden awakening experience that lead to a profound inner transformation.
Education
Adam went on from there to complete a bachelors in psychology, and a masters in counseling, all the while understanding that it was the teaching of universal spiritual wisdom that was to be his primary education as well as his most meaningful gift to the world.
During both undergrad and graduate school, Adam focused most of his attention on his inner world, spending a great deal of time in meditation and studying the works of the world’s greatest saints and sages of the past and present.
It was also during this time that he discovered Integral Theory and the work of Ken Wilber. He completed his graduate thesis on an Integral Approach to Counseling and begain seeing clients individually. Adam’s Counseling Website
Writing and Renunciation
In May of 2010, after a few years of seeing clients individually and in groups, Adam knew it was time to expand his influence and write his first book. He put the title on the board, Embracing Silence, Awakening to Your True Nature, and within a few weeks he had someone wanting to publish it!
He wrote day and night, and by October of the same year he had sent it away to be edited. On the day that he received the final revised manuscript, while away at a conference, he also received a phone call informing him that his home had burned down and literally everything he owned had been destroyed! Needless to say, this was quite ironic given the fact that he had just finished a book that had everything to do with letting go, and non attachment!
Awakened LIFE is born
Not long after this event, it became clear to Adam that this was one of the greatest gifts he had ever been given. Without the distraction of any material possessions, a great clarity and freedom was born. During the course of the following year Adam created the Awakening Foundation, as well as Awakened Life, talk radio evolved, all with the intention of helping as many as possible enjoy the bliss that is the Awakened Life!
